HISTORY OF WEED

From 2727 B.C. to the present, Weeds presents a brief history of cannabis.

Cannabis, commonly known as (Chronic) marijuana or marihuana, and ganja (from Sanskrit: गांजा gañjā, meaning hemp), among many other names, refers to any number of preparations of the Cannabis plant intended for ingestion as a psychoactive drug. The most common form of cannabis used as a drug is the natural herbal form.

The typical herbal form of cannabis consists of the flowers and subtending leaves and stalks of mature pistillate or female plants. The resinous form of the drug is known as hashish or merely as hash.

Cannabis use has been found to have occurred as long ago as the 3rd millenium B.C. In modern times, the drug has been used for recreational, religious or spiritual, and medicinal purposes. The United Nations (UN) estimated that in 2004 about 4% of the world’s adult population (162 million people) use cannabis annually, and about 0.6% (22.5 million) use it on a daily basis. The possession, use, or sale of cannabis preparations containing psychoactive cannabinoids became illegal in most parts of the world in the early 20th century. Since then, some countries have intensified the enforcement of cannabis prohibition, while others have reduced it.

weed will never become legal even though there is nothing wrong with it…how many people die a year from smoking to much weed??? and how many people die a year from drinking alcohol?? ya see there is a problem here the government knows that they cant make alot of money off it being as even if legalized people will still grow it themselves which is a lil easier than making alcohol….its all about the money and thats all its ever been about

Its funny how alcohol is classed as a poison and weed is classed as a herb, yet they complain about the herb that shows ALOT more medical bonus’s to weed then alcohol.

Nice video by the way :)
